The past year has been especially transformative in the area of Advocacy and Awareness as the Cerebral Palsy Foundation merged with “Reaching For The Stars: A Foundation of Hope for Children with Cerebral Palsy” (RFTS) in February 2019.
This merger amplifies our collective voices more effectively around the world, in the US and throughout local communities through a variety of advocacy and education initiatives.
Reaching for the Stars created National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day in 2006, launched the #GoGreen4CP movement in 2014 and have led a number of successful federal advocacy initiatives increasing focus on cerebral palsy research across the lifespan. They have been the largest pediatric CP nonprofit foundation in the world run by parent volunteers, bringing a 21,000+ strong network of parents and caregivers of children with CP into our vibrant community.
