Is your speech difficult to understand? Do you have trouble using voice recognition assistants?

Consumer researchers are collecting speech samples of individuals who have speech that is difficult to understand in order to improve the functionality of voice recognition technology to be more inclusive of individuals with disabilities.

What Will Happen During the Study?

During 5 recording sessions lasting approximately 45 minutes each, participants will provide speech samples by repeating lists of short phrases, read a short passage and/or read supplemental phrases for a total of voice 1061 recordings. After each session the participant will complete a short survey.

Potential participants will be screened by a qualified speech therapist to determine if speech intelligibility meets criteria. If the participant does not pass screening, they will be thanked for their interest. If the participant is eligible for the study they can move forward and schedule 5 recording sessions wit the therapist when it is convenient for them.
